Will there be a cost associated with my request?

Answer:

Pursuant to Florida law, the School District may implement charges that are reasonable and reflect actual costs when the nature and volume of public records requested requires extensive use of resources based on the following fee schedule: Single-sided copies - $0.15 each; double-sided copies - $0.20 each. Staff time in excess of fifteen (15) minutes- base hourly rate of staff compiling the request. Electronic device storage – a reasonable market cost may be charged for thumb drives, DVDs, audio tapes, etc. The full cost of postage and packaging.

Question:

How soon will the School District respond to my records request?

Answer:

The School District responds to public records requests in the order in which they are received. Due to the volume of public records requests received by the District, we cannot guarantee that your public records request will be processed within a specific number of days. Nevertheless, the District responds to every public records request promptly and in good faith, and within the limited, reasonable time allowed by law.


Question:

Where can I obtain my transcripts, diploma, or student records?

Answer:

Student transcripts are NOT considered public records. If it has been less than five (5) full school years since attending a Citrus County Public School, contact the last school of enrollment for transcripts.

When the age of majority (eighteen) is reached, no one, including parents, may access records without written authorization from the student. Reference FL Statute 1002.22(3). See statute for exemptions.
